I have noticed a huge trend of Indie Games being developed right now. I thinks this in part because:

• The technology has gotten easy enough for more people to develop
• The Xbox Live Games Marketplace and iPhone App store
• The success of simple games like Angry Birds

What I like about indie games is that they are usually simple (I  don’t have time to get sucked into a MMRPG) and the focus on playability factors instead of graphics. I also like the low budget quirkiness of the games similar to how  I love B- horror movies.

Have time… want to waste it :)
